Chicago Math and Science Initiative (CMSI) Evaluation (2002-2009). Evaluation provided to the Chicago Public Schools’ Office of Math and Science and Office of Research, Evaluation, and Assessment. (In 2008-09, which was Year 7 of PRAIRIE’s ongoing evaluation work with the CMSI, the evaluation focused on the CMSI’s 8th Grade Algebra Initiative, Professional Development Leadership (PDL) program, and its University Courses program.) (Evaluation Budget over 7 years: $1,697,000)

Chicago Public Schools Cluster 4 Middle Grade Project (2006-2010). Evaluation provided to the Chicago Public Schools’ Office of Math and Science and Office of Research, Evaluation, and Assessment; the Chicago Community Trust; and the McDougal Family Foundation. (Evaluation Budget for 4 years: $728,000)

UIC Center for Research on Women and Gender US Department of Education WEEA-funded “Girls Education and Mentoring in Science Engineering and Technology” (GEM-SET) Mentoring Program (2006-2009). External evaluation provided to the UIC Center for Research on Women and Gender. (Evaluation Budget 3 years: $21,000)

Chicago Public Schools In-School Instructional Coaching (ISIC) program. (2007-2009). Evaluation provided to the Chicago Public Schools Department of Instructional Design and Assessment, and Department of Program Evaluation. (Evaluation Budget: $349,000)

Chicago Public Schools Office of Academic Excellence (OAE), Program Development and Evaluation Technical Assistance (2007 – 2009). Technical Assistance included developing logic models for the OAE Magnet Cluster and Gifted Programs, and providing a framework and guidelines for OAE to develop evaluation instruments and processes for internal program monitoring and evaluation. (Evaluation Budget: $47,000)

Chicago Public Schools Department of Human Resources (2007-2008), Transition to Teaching Project. (Evaluation Budget: $30,000).
DePaul University Math and Science Initiative (2008-2011).  Evaluation provided to the DePaul University Colleges of Education and Liberal Arts & Science, the Chicago Public Schools and the Chicago Community Trust. (Evaluation Budget: $32,000)

Chicago Public Schools Office of Research, Evaluation, and Accountability (2008-2009). Program Development and Evaluation Strategic Planning Support for the Office of Language and Cultural Education’s BEWL Commission Project. (Evaluation and Technical Assistance Budget: $73,800)

Chicago Public Schools Dual Language Education Initiative (2009-2011). External evaluation and technical support provided to the CPS Office (later Department) of Language and Cultural Education, Office of Evaluation, the Chicago Community Trust, and the BEWL Executive Committee. (Evaluation Budget: $146,000)

Loyola Area 10 Middle Grade Science Project (2010-2011). Evaluation provided to Loyola University’s Center for Science and Math Education (LUCSME), the Chicago Community Trust, and the Illinois State Board of Higher Education. (Evaluation Budget: $33,000)
Northwestern University NSF five-year GK-12 project, “Reach for the Stars: Computational Models for Teaching and Learning in Physics, Astronomy, and Computer Science” (2010-2015). External formative and summative evaluation of the “Reach for the Stars” Program. (Evaluation Budget: $72,000)
Northeastern Illinois University USDA-funded “Targeted Investigations of Earth Resources Related to Agriculture” (2010-2012). External formative and summative evaluation for the NEIU Earth Sciences Department and the USDA. (Evaluation Budget: $10,000)
Field Museum of Natural History Education Department’s “Parents as Educators” pilot program (2010). External evaluation provided to the Field Museum and the Institute of Library and Museum Services (ILMS). Evaluation conducted in collaboration with the Loyola University Center for Science and Math Education (LUCSME). (Evaluation Budget: $22,000)
Chicago Public Schools Summer Initiatives Program. Office of Summer Initiatives (2011). External Evaluation of Four Enrichment Summer Programs, provided for the Chicago Public Schools Office of Performance. (Evaluation Budget: $180,000)
Chicago Public Schools Quality Teaching for English Learners (QTEL) Initiative (2011- 2013) External evaluation for the CPS Department of Language and Cultural Education and the Chicago Community Trust. (Evaluation Budget: $44,500)

Chicago Public Schools Common Core Early Adopters Pilot Program (2011-2013). External evaluation for the CPS Department of Literacy and the Chicago Community Trust. (Evaluation Budget: $113,000)
Chicago Teacher Partnership Program (CTPP) (2012-2015) a US Department of Education funded collaborative program across four Chicago area universities: UIC, National Louis University, Loyola University, and Northeastern Illinois University. External formative and summative evaluation of Years 4 and 5 of the five-year initiative. (Evaluation Budget: $432,529)

Field Museum of Natural History Education Department, “N.W. Harris Learning Collection Teacher Professional Development Program” (2013-17). External evaluation for the Field Museum and the JP Morgan Chase Fund. Evaluation conducted in collaboration with the Loyola University Center for Science and Math Education (LUCSME).
